Euclid Avenue (M-13) Poles by Euclid Court/Kiesel Road (1 Township location only)
- The Township will apply for an annual application with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) that includes the placement of banners across Euclid Avenue (M-13) and will follow the provisions of their policy as approved by the State of Michigan.
- Application for permit will be made to the Township Clerk. Such application must be submitted 45 days prior to the date of desired installation and approved by the Township Clerk.
- All costs associated with the installation, removal or placement of banners is that of the applicant.
- All banners are required to have a sufficient number of wind holes for air ventilation.
- A banner shall not have displayed thereon any legend or symbol, which may be construed to advertise, promote the sale of or publicize any merchandise or commodity, or to be political in nature. A banner shall not have displayed thereon any legend or symbol, which is or purports to be an imitation of or resembles, or which may be mistaken for, a traffic control device, or which attempts to direct the movement of traffic.
- Township employees are prohibited from installing or removing banners unless directed by the Township Board or to provide public safety in the direct result of an emergency.
- The Township Fire Marshal or Building Inspector will inspect the signs installation and inform the contractor in writing of any concerns or corrections. A copy of such concerns or corrections will be provided to the Township Supervisor and Clerk.
- The Township Board reserves the right to refuse any banner request for any reason.
- The Township reserves the right to limit the display time of the banner other than the dates requested by the applicant.
- The Township is not responsible for any damage of any nature to a banner.
- Failure to remove a banner by the close of the next business day, of the approved removal date, may result in the denial of future requests.
