Bay County 911 is proud to announce, BAY Alerts, Bay County’s new emergency mass notification system. BAY Alerts is intended to notify residents of emergencies or critical situations and provide information regarding necessary actions to take, such as evacuation or shelter-in-place. BAY Alerts can notify Bay County residents via land-line telephone, cell phone (both voice and text) as well as email. Currently, all available Bay County land-line telephone numbers are entered into the system. But Bay County residents wishing to receive emergency alerts via cell phone and/or email must register for BAY Alerts. Registering a cell phone for BAY Alerts is quick and easy. MI Locator is a tool from the State of Michigan to help citizens search any location for state government services, state parks and recreation, or educational entities. By plugging in a zip code, MI Locator produces a map with icons for each state government service or facility in that area.
